Hello, Please Join us in TRENTON on May 1, 2010 to insist that the New Jersey Department of Education include Modern Day Slavery in the Social Curriculum. Every year students ( Middle School students in particular) study the Civil War and are taught that slavery ended with the Emancipation Proclamation in 1863. But the insidious evil of slavery is alive and well today.
